Sacro da Capela do Menino Deus Museum
The Museum of Holy Child Jesus Chapel was opened in January 2002 when it celebrated 237 years of the Fellowship of the Lord Jesus dos Passos an initiative by the desks of administrative biennia 1999/2001 and 2001/2003 and thanks to the founding of Santa Catarina Culture the Museum of Image and Sound and professionals in History, Architecture and Conservation / Restoration contributing effectively towards this project.
The museum is maintained by the Fellowship of the Lord Jesus dos Passos. The collection that is now part of the museum comprises sculptures, paintings on canvas that were incorporated into the chapel since its founding after the Second half of the eighteenth century, objects that tell the story of the chapel of the hospital and fellowship and some donations local families and other corporations. Apart from the religious works of art collection also includes porcelain, silverware, glass vases, coins of the nineteenth and twentieth centuries; clothes liturgical character (not cataloged), many of them were acquired through promises in return paid by the faithful attended Thanksgiving.
