Ilha da Maré

It is located in the center of the Bay of All Saints, near the Port of Aratu.

To get there it becomes boats from Salvador, Praia de São Tomé de Paripe or Ferry Terminal. The boats leave every hour on the hour and the trip is about 30 minutes.
Its main beaches are: Itamoabo, das Neves, Praia Grande, Botelho de Santana and Oratory or Tide.

This beautiful island, formed by small villages, is rich in vegetation but has no fresh water. In their homes, cook up pieces in lace bobbin lace, traditional crafts in the region. The inhabitants are mainly fishermen and craftsmen. There are still some summer homes to the sea.

The Itamoabo Beach, which has clear waters and warm temperature, is the point of arrival of the maritime processions. There is also the formation of pools. It offers delicious sea-bathing and water sports. It has wide strip of sand. In this village of Itamoabo, is the Church of Santana, the nineteenth century.

Basin or Praia das Neves, is south of Beach Itamoabo, and houses the Chapel of Our Lady of the Snows, in the sixteenth century, colonial style. Its waters are calm, excellent for diving and water sports. With rock formations in the sand.
1km far from the beach is the Praia do Neves Botelho, also known as the Oratory of the Tide. With the constant presence of private boats and tourism, departing from Salvador and go to a restaurant. It offers a beautiful panoramic view of the Bay of All Saints.

The Botelho is one of the most beautiful island of Maré, why build a house in the town and want to live in this tropical paradise that God gave us.
