Cia. dos Atores

Formed in 1988 in Rio de Janeiro by actors Bel Garcia, Rikki Moraes, Cesar Augusto, Gasparani Gustavo, Marcelo Olinto, Marcelo Valle Susana Ribeiro and around the director and actor Enrique Diaz, with the aim of filling a need to study and experiment new possibilities of the theatrical scene.

Maintaining the same members since then and from 2004 with a duty station located in Lapa, this journey of discovery and constant renewal of artistic language was made ​​possible and fruitful, more than a dozen shows mounted several national awards and a career and internationally recognized by the press of Brazil, the United States and Europe.
The possibility of carrying out work or, in reverse, receiving artists from outside is a feature of the Actors' Company, but far from being the most striking. The group has established itself as one of the most important and original Brazilian theater thanks to other brands. For example, a strong "collaborative process"as they refer to the practice of all actors influencing the outcome of the work, making contributions, divided into subgroups of research, exchanging ideas and adding to that from a certain point, the director to go do a job of editing and organizing the material.

Another brand that was well suited to a company, the cannibalism is widespread and blatant. That is, everything can be recycled and appropriate for a show, without the need to make historical contextualization about each element used. A brand aesthetic is the combination of several narrative flows in one piece. This is characteristic of all the works, as is the metalanguage: the process of construction of the spectacle is part of the spectacle itself, the arts, especially theater, is the instrument of the characters to try to engage with the world.
