Centro Cultural Light
The American Renaissance-style building, built in 1911 in Old Broad Street, as the headquarters and streetcar garage of Light, the center houses since 1994, participating actively in the city's cultural life.
In its various spaces and galleries are presented concerts and exhibitions, with emphasis on: The Old Rio, whose collection consists of historical photographs of Augusto Malta; Memory Room, where are the shows, through photos, equipment and furniture, services of The Rio de Janeiro Tramway Light and Power Company; Area Di Cavalcanti, with four paintings by that artist, which form the composition Rio, a powerful portrait of daily life the city and the Theatre Lamartine Babo and the Covered Plaza, where you installed the "Broad Street Bonde Musical" for various artistic events, especially the new talents of MPB.
