The international airport of Rio Galleon is the largest of Rio de Janeiro, the best known and most visited internationally after the Guarulhos airport in Sao Paulo. The airport is located 20 km (13 miles) north of Rio de Janeiro

Public Transport
Buses, taxis and shuttles transport passengers expressed to the city center. (Journey time: 30 to 40 minutes). Buses leave every hour from the airport to major hotels and beaches, and every 30 minutes there is a public bus that goes to the city center. The stakes are taxis at the exit of the airport terminals. The duration of the journey to the center south of Rio de Janeiro is among 30 to 45 minutes.
