It was inaugurated on June 7, 2004 and dubbed Via Imperatore, thanks to a historical survey on the street where is located the restaurant: the Street of the Republic in Porto Alegre. It was discovered that once the street name was Street of the Emperor. Surprised by this curiosity, the partners decided to christen the restaurant Via Imperatore, the translation of the name in Italian. The house serves pasta, salads and desserts at the buffet lunch, as dinner is a la carte option. By late afternoon the first floor serves as a bar offering beers and snacks to customers.
