This type of restaurant offers the traditional Brazilian barbecue - churrasco, which comprises of whole cuts of meat that are skewed and barbecued in a “churrasqueira” constructed of bricks. The meat is cooked and then served at the table, in a service called a rodízio.
Passadores (meat waiters) wander around the restaurant, each person carrying a specific type of meat. They arrive at your table with a knife and a skewer and each person can then either elect to take a slice of the meat or pass.
