Memory House
Inaugurated on March 30, 2004, the House of Memory of Florianopolis is a documentation center of social and cultural life of the city.
Some believe the area has a sort of museum of antiquities. In fact, the national meets, restore, organize, preserve and disclose records visual, sound, bibliography and documents relating to the history, memory, identity and cultural production of the city. Part of the collection is comprised of donations made by the population.
In parallel with activities such as documentation center, the Memory House also houses a 50-seat auditorium equipped with video screen, which are conducted courses, lectures, launches and other cultural events.
The unit is divided into three sections and also coordinates the activities of the FFC Publications, Imprint Cascaes Franklin Foundation already has released several books and DVDs.
