The Itamaraty Palace [1], also known as Palace of the Arches, and the attachments were designed by architect Oscar Niemeyer. The Palace was inaugurated on April 21, 1970. It was the headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, when the beginnings of Brasilia. The Palace has the largest hall without pillars of the world, with an area of ​​2,800 m ². Palace of the Arches was the first name given to the building due to the arches of the facade.
