Teatro Municipal de Sao Paulo Museum
Inaugurated on October 11, 1983, the Museum of the Municipal Theater of São Paulo intended to collect and preserve objects, documents, records and reports pertaining to the history of the theater.
The Museum keeps the history of the artistic and social Theater, part of it presented in a long-term exposure, are also organized exhibitions on themes related to architecture, shows and information shows of short duration, parallel to some of the events taking place in municipal.
The action of the Municipal Education conducts regular monitoring visits to the Museum of Theater and establishing cultural exchanges with similar organizations; scripts developed in the different profiles of public monitors lead the public with information on heritage and historical events occurring within the Municipal Theater in its 100 years.
The Museum's collection consists of documentary material, specialized library, photographic archive, audiovisual and newspaper clippings; open to the public consultation is an important site for research seeking to better understand the city's cultural life.
Operation: Tuesday to Sunday from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm
