Brazilian Soccer Museum in São Paulo
The Museu da Arte do Futebol (Soccer Museum) location could not be more appropriate: it is under the stands at Pacaembu Stadium, the most beautiful of the city. To tell the history of Brazilian football, the curators turned to interactive audiovisual resources to the detriment of relics and collectibles.
At the entrance, pictures of stars like Pele, Zico and Ronaldo are projected on large screens hung from the ceiling. The following cabins have original audio goals narrations from different decades, as television monitors display immortal plays chosen by celebrities. Screens placed in front of each other show choirs and dance routines of supporters in the stadiums, playing the duel that happens in the classics.
In the section of the curiosities, the walls provide information and picturesque phrases like "If voodoo is to win the game, the Bahia championship would ended in a draw" (attributed to coach João Saldanha).
Why 5 stars? To honor the Brazilian football with such devotion, the museum celebrates the collective imagination of the country, thrilling the visitors. Fans can look for references on the team at heart - the videos of goals, in the accounts of the broadcasters, the photos ... Feel free to do the same, but do not limit your visit. Enjoy all the work.
The Pacaembu stadium has an elegant art deco style facade, mandatory recall of the visit. You can not shoot inside the museum, but there is a kind of balcony that allows you to click inside the stadium.
Time of visit - In two and a half hours you see it all calmly, looking around the store inventory of shirts, and also take a beer at the bar The Fan, in the output. Although there is monitoring, the tour is self-explanatory. If you can, avoid weekends and school holidays, when the movement is much larger.
