Energia de Sao Paulo Museum
The Energy Museum of São Paulo is located in the suburb of Champs Elysees, near the Luz and Bom Retiro in place of outstanding historical and cultural importance to the city of São Paulo.
In operation since 2005, this is an open space for knowledge and discussion of the history of energy technology development in the energy sector and its impacts, and present topics on industrialization and urbanization of São Paulo.
With temporary exhibitions and educational activities, we aim to contribute to the history of science and technology critically and innovative, stimulating public awareness for the rational consumption of energy, the joy of science and history and appreciation of the heritage of the energy sector.
There are exhibitions of different languages and visits are exciting for audiences of all ages. The building that houses our headquarters has a unique history that, by itself, is worth a visit: it was the residence of Henry Santos Dumont (brother of the aviator Alberto Santos Dumont), went through several occupations in over 120 years of history and was the subject of a detailed restoration process.
