Esculturas Park in Salvador Bahia
In the space surrounding the Unhão Solar is installed Parque das Esculturas (Sculpture Park), part of the Museum of Modern Art of Bahia (MAM). The place is a real open air museum and represents something like the art surrounded by nature. Built in the 17th century, the park shelters in their gardens most representative works of artists from Bahia. Mario Cravo, Siron Franco Carybé and other great names of Brazilian art sign that the sculptures are displayed on site. The creations are a part of the hillside facing the sea. The highlight for Antônio Conselheiro sculptured in wood by Mario Cravo and installed in a scenario reminiscent of the semi-arid. The maritime border of the park is surrounded by a walkway where you can enjoy the beautiful view of the Bay of All Saints.
