Considered one of the smaller beaches of Paulista, the edge of Pau Amarelo has two mile-long fine sand and scrub. With calm waters and shallow, the beach is ideal for swimming during low tide.
Due to the artificial reefs installed on site, it is possible to see small fishing boats. Besides the natural beauty, tourists can see the Forte do Pau Amarelo, built by the Portuguese in the eighteenth century. Instead, the visitor still has a significant infrastructure of bars, restaurants and informal traders, who meet visitors and residents.
