Casa Caiada Beach
A busy urban beach with a large strip of sand that runs it's entire length, this beach runs right through the middle of Olinda. Casa Caiada Beach has a walkway that runs along the shoreline where walkers and joggers get their daily exercise and where kiosks sell food and ice cold beverages to those working up a sweat or just lounging on the beach. Several kiosks are dedicated to just selling coconut water, right from the young coconuts. A swift chop opens up the top and a straw allows access to the cool liquids below. It's a favorite on the beaches of Brazil and due to the quantity of coconuts, one of the cheapest drinks you buy.
Casa Caiada Beach continues on where Bairro Novo Beach ends, with Rio Doce River picking up after Casa Caida Beach ends. It resembles many features of the Bairro Novo Beach, but lacks some of the infrastructure, including fewer bars and restaurants which are far more prevalent along it's neighbor. The sea is calm here, the water is blue and sands are white while artificial reefs reside in the tranquil waters. The weekends bring out many tourists and locals alike who come to enjoy everything this beach has to offer and to relax in the beautiful Brazilian sun.
