This tour is one of the cheapest ways to learn about this unusual part of the capital, where everything has been cut off by canals.   It costs around $12.00 per person and is a must see attraction, giving a different perspective of the city.

The aquatic city tour lasts just over an hour, and covers the three islands in the center of Recife.  Passengers get to see several grand views of this great city, which are often found on typical post cards sold in the markets.   Photos including Ground Zero, the Francisco Brennand Sculpture Park and Aurora´s Street full of colorful old houses.  Throughout the tour, the guides explain the history of the capital of Pernambuco, giving plenty of information on the history of the area and the city. The tour happens every day and boarding is at the Five Points pier.  It is also possible to take the tour at night, which offers some beautiful night time views of the city as well.  

These tours are a great way to experience part of the city that many never get to experience and aren't that expensive or time consuming either.   Bring your camera, and some sunshade and sit back and relax with this fun filled tour.
