Camboa Beach in Recife
This famous postcard picture from the South Coast of Pernambuco is of Camboa Beach. With it's heavenly setting, featuring white sands, clear waters and a magnificent coconut grove, the place enchants locals, and tourists alike.
Located north of Porto de Galinhas, roughly 49 km from downtown Recife, and between Suape Beach and Muro Alto Beach, the region is ideal for those seeking tranquility, and close contact with nature, since the beach is away from the buzz of the city. The area is a preservation, which has blocked the building of direct access roads, which means the only access is via buggies, which is actually a very common form of transportation in this area.
The ocean water is clear and refreshing for bathing in, and offers many tidal pools at low tide in which to swim. The deserted nature of this beach ensures a good amount of privacy as well. Mangroves along the Ipojuca river and estuary are also nearby and a wonderful place to travel through.
