Walk Cachaça Cavalheira

Elected by former President Fernando Henrique the official drink for the celebrations of 500 years of discovery of Brazil, cachaça is distilled beverage most consumed in the country. The most versatile of spirits has 400 synonyms, can be consumed straight, hit with tropical fruit juice or lemon, as the world famous caipirinha. It was for love of this beverage that entrepreneurs typically Brazilian Eduardo and Fernando Remigio Carvalheira created in 1995, the Cachaça produced, aged and bottled in Pernambuco. The difference is in fact to be aged in oak barrels, a process similar to rum.

During the visit, the tourist can learn a little more about the history of the samples of Pernambuco, through a display of dozens of bottles of various types, ages and brands. The culture of Pernambuco is also praised in the plant, not only through the store, dubbed the Cold Hole, where you can see parts of ships and old locomotives, equipment plates and deactivated plants, but also with the store installed inside the factory , which are sold Carvalheira products and regional crafts.

Besides all these attractions, visitors can follow the process of preparing the white oak barrels, the storage, aging, quality control, bottling and finally tasting the Cachaça.
