The Park was opened in 1978, occupies an area of 715 square meters and its name pays homage to Brazil's Navy.

Built on the landfill area bordering the Guaíba nurture a very special contact with its waters.

It is one of the places preferred by athletes who occupy, especially on weekends, four tennis courts, five multipurpose courts, a soccer field, six indoor football, a running track, a skating rink, a skateboard, nine sand soccer fields, a mourning hall and gymnastics equipment. There are also rent bikes and quads.

It also has mini-zoo permanently open to the public, three playgrounds and Green-Park (mini-amusement park). In the middle of the park, located in the Civic Center, and military events allocated to specific areas for the installation of circus and amusement park.

Other attractions are the aquatic axis of 10 thousand square meters that cuts and runs 700 meters in the Park, beyond the Solar Retreat, sunbathing, Adventure Retreat for children; Corner of Bodybuilding, for sports, and Corner Saudade appreciated by lovers. It also has changing rooms and three parking lots.

Of its total area, 11 hectares were converted into the woods and grassy expanses, where trees are found native and exotic species
