This is a typical vacation beach, with a few bars and tents on the beach which swimmers and bathers utilize.   If you're in the area during Carnival, you might find yourself admist many of the Natal Carnival activities, which take place just a few kilometers from here, but which spread around to the entire area.   After a long day at the beach, check out a good Brazilian steak house, Rancho da Pipa located under three kilomters from the beach.

Situated in the city of Extremoz, Santa Rita Beach is considered one of the first beaches of the north coast, which are all known for their large dunes.  Santa Rita Beach has enormous dunes where it is possible to get a panoramic view of Genipabu Beach and Redinha Beach.  This is also a good place to practice surfing due to strong waves.
