Natal
On the morning of November 21, 1753, several people could watch a wooden box, stranded on a rock, the River Potengi. Some fishermen went out to rescue him. Inside the box was found a statue of Our Lady of the Rosary with the infant Jesus in her arms and wrapped a banner that read: "Where this file stop, no misfortune will happen." The image was about 60 cm high.
At the time the image was taken to the Church by Father Manuel Gomes Corrêa, replacing the picture of the patron. It was the image of Our Lady of the Rosary as if the image of Our Lady of the Presentation.
Currently this image is in the Metropolitan Cathedral, but there is a replica in the Church and in the stone that was found, which was called Stone Rosary. The replica of the image located in the stone was carved in soapstone and placed on a concrete column with about three feet tall.
So Our Lady of the Presentation was sacred patron saint of Natal and every year on 21 November (municipal holiday in Natal) is an outdoor Mass celebrated in front of the Stone of the Rosary at 5 am, with the participation of the faithful.
