Natal - Parque Ecológico de Jenipabu

This refers to a collection of areas, including a beach, a large complex of sand dunes, a lagoon and an environmental protection area, the Dunes Ecological Tourist Park Genipabu or Jenipabu is located in the municipality of Extremoz, twenty kilometers from Natals city center, and the view here is used on one of the most famous postcards in this state, which says something about the beauty of this place.

The region stands out for having huge dunes and a freshwater lagoon, which creates a strong demand for tourism.  The region has a fairly good infrastructure of hotels, guesthouses, restaurants, beach bars, and tours of buggies and rafts.  The dunes are mobile in Genipabu and the action of the wind which is very intense on the coast of Rio Grande do Norte, moves the sand around from point to point and in doing so, moves the dunes as well, constantly changing the landscape.  For those who do not know the area well, the changing landscape can be a little dangerous, however all of the tour guides in this area are well acquainted with the area.

Genipabu is internationally famous for its natural beauty, the buggy rides and camel tours.  The waters are warm at Genipabu Beach, and also calm, providing excellent swimming opportunities.  Buggy tours take their patrons to all the exicting spots around here, including fresh water swimming, paddle boats, kayaking, and both esquibunda and aerobunda. Esquibunda is very popular in these dunes, and is the act of sitting on wooden plans and riding down the dunes into the waters of the lagoon at the bottom.  Aerobunda is similar, but you're using a zipline which goes down through the dunes and drops you off in the fresh water lagoons at the bottom.

Genipabu became famous by being marked by the phrase of "with or without emotion", which the dune buggy operators will ask you, as you board the buggies.   Either way, it's going to be with emotion for the most part.
