Ponte Newton Navarro - encontro do Rio Potengi com o mar in Natal
This is one of the biggest suspension bridges in Brazil, the Newton Navarro Bridge is located in Natal and connects the north zone of the city and cities of the north coast to the south zone by bridging the Potengi River.
This bridge was built with the primary goal of easying the heavy traffic on the Igapó bridge and to improve access to the Greater Natal International Airport and the adjacent areas. The idea was to increase the flow of tourism into the north coast and improve access of the locals of the North Zone to the downtown areas of Natal. Netwon Navarro Bridge was named after an important local artist and is likely one of the bridges you will take while traveling to Natal from and to the airport.
