Malemba Beach
Very near to the hot spots of Pipa (10437) and Tibau do Sul (10436) you will find Malembá Beach. The breathtaking scenery is impresses even at a distance. There are four miles of untouched and crystal clear waterfront, a long cove bound by the sea and dunes, and sparse vegetation due to the constant wind which has pushed back the lush rainforest in this area. Kitesurfers colours the peaceful landscape which is occasionally broken with the presence of buggies winning its coastline or along the dunes.
Malembá is the only beach in the municipality of Senador Georgino Avelino and, despite its proximity to the famous Barreta (10435) and Tibau do Sul (10436) in Nísia Forest, it is considered the last paradise of this area. Dolphin Coast, a stretch between the Barreira do Inferno (11296) and the beach of Pipa (10437) is all protected land. Despite belonging to Senador Avelino Georgino city, the beach is only accesible at low tide from Barreta Beach (10435) or by small ferries which corss the Guaraíras Lagoon (11569) from Tibau do Sul.(10436)
In the nearby city of Senador Georgino Avelino, it's possible to enjoy many typical dishes of the Northeast, especially locally caught oysters, shrimp and farm raised chicken. For oysters, check out the Oyster Bar, which overlooks beautiful views of the coast with lush mangroves in the Guaraíra Lagoon (11569) to Malembá Beach itself. From here, you can hirer a canoe right off the small docks and venture out into the many creeks and streams of the area.
