The dunes of Natal in Rio Grande do Norte are among the most beautiful landscapes in the Northeast. Its descent has become favorite of tourists. Leisure and adventure to expand the sea to the dunes. tourism transformed the mobile sand mountains in playgrounds.
Structures have been built with thatched roofs, to keep people out of the sun in some destinations, while pulley systems have been installed at the tops of several dunes to pull sleds up the dunes after their rapid descent on either a sandboard or through aerobunda rides. They have even gotten high tech and will take photos at these areas, which are then directly sent to your hotel.
The dunes of Jacumã are probably the most famous, and where aerobunda and skibunda were first installed. Aerobunda is essentially a zip line that runs down the dunes and drops off it's passengers directly into the lagoon at the best. Skibunda is similar, but the individual sits on a board which then acts like a innertube on snow, again drops the riders in the lagoon. Boats collect up the tourists from the lagoon and a sled pulls them to the top of the dune for another go.
Refinements such as shade under thatched roofs, sled to climb the dunes, wax on the surfboard, diving at the end of the descent and even photographs sent directly to the hotel comprise, for example, the structure of esquibunda of Cicero, in the dunes of Jacumã. In the famous lagoon of Jacumã you find some sports invented by strangers that provide a lot of fun. In Ceará Mirim Jacumã lagoon the aerobunda generates hundreds of buggy drivers and attendants on the tickets, cables, sleds and boats to collect the bathers. Jacumã is the lagoon of Aero- and Ski-bunda. It's cool with a decline of about 20 metres high and falls directly on the water. Barreta beaches´ dunes are great options, as well.
The camel rides on the dunes at the beach of Genipabu can be made from 9 am until sundown daily. During days with high tide, the tours can be made up to 14 hours. The camel rides take place on the dunes on Genipabu Beach and generlaly only last 15 minutes, costing roughly R$30.00. Fun enjoyment without spending a huge amount of time atop a camel.
