The Laguna de Guaraíras is an arm of the sea which enters the region of Tibau do Sul, creating an estuary with extremely rich, diverse and beautiful scenery of this unique region. The entrance to the lagoon and the cliffs along the sea provide shelter to the strong winds that affect the Natal coast, creating an excellent environment for navigating kayaks, small boats, fishing boats and general water sports.

The kayak tour begins right near the entrance of the lagoon, heading to the wetlands that are distributed throughout the inner edge of the estuary.  Along the tour, it is possible to encounter dolphins, and in some cases, a manatee, which enter this lagoon to rest and feed.  The vast expanse of mangroves, which form several channels at the base of the lagoon are an invitation to discover a vast and diverse biodiversity that takes shelter among the mangroves.  Small groups of kayaks follow a main guide, experienced in this region, which guide everythone through the mangrove channels.  With each stroke, a stunning new vision and a new discovery is made.  In the late afternoon, the sunset from the lagoon is a spectacle to be admired.   It is certainly an adventure to be explored.
