Natal Carnival

The Carnival is undoubtedly the most popular festival in Brazil and one of the most popular worldwide, attracting tourists from all over the planet. In Brazil, the celebration usually begins on the Friday night before the beginning of Lent and usually ends the night of Tuesday prior to Ash Wednesday (which is the first day of Lent in the Western Christian calendar). Nevertheless, in some Brazilian cities extend the party, often extending to the Sunday after Ash Wednesday. It is also increasingly known the "Carnival out of season."

For those who want to skip the Carnival in Natal, the best and most traditional option of the region is in Pirangi do Norte 10431, where revelers will play in the street and in the street, closed to vehicle traffic from 6 Friday evening until the 4th Ash Wednesday morning, and Saturday afternoons from 3 until Monday at the beachfront. In all other beaches north and south of Natal and in the state, the animation is usually because of small blocks who walk the streets pulling the revelers, powered by too much beer.

Feature: The Old Redinha happens, always on the morning of  Carnival Tuesday, the traditional mangroves bath and  in the sequence, the block following the revelers' Us Dog "around the neighborhood, duly accompanied by an electric trio. Most people take the mud of the swamp in plastic bags, to play on other people, or to replace what the body falls. In the end, all take a swim, to get the mud to cool off and also, of course.
