Corumbá de Goiás is a small historic town founded in 1730 pierced the heart of Goiás. With nearly three centuries of history, is surrounded by natural beauty and still retains the traditions and colonial-style architecture that enchants and fascinates all who know this rare jewel. Corumbá de Goiás is a city in their traditions and their way of living simply reveal their most precious wealth. The Corumbá River with its clear waters and numerous waterfalls is ideal for canoeing. The Salto Corumba is one of the major tourist attractions for its wild beauty and natural. It is a waterfall 60 meters high, forming large pool of clear water and small sandy beaches. It is the most famous of the four waterfalls formed by the river Corumba. The area has a complete infrastructure of services, with bar, restaurant, swimming pool, water slide, lodging and camping. Admission is paid. Close to town, other places worth visiting: Waterfall Monjolinho, Tapera Grande, Father Ignatius, and Taquara Quarry.
