Serra de Guaramiranga in Fortaleza
The Guaramiranga Sierra is located in Baturité Massif, 865 meters high, and its main attraction is the Pico Alto (High Peak), highest point of Ceará, with 1,115 m. The temperature ranges between 12 and 15, and at the place we have a broad view of the interior and the sea. The range of 0.1% of Atlantic Forest still existing in Ceará is in Guaramiranga and transformed into an environmental protection area (APA).
The High Peak is the second highest in the state of Ceará. From there, you can see a dazzling, unforgettable sunsets, the magnificent view that does not have accurate adjectives to describe the immensity that can be seen above, the feeling of peace and freedom joins the desire to fly next to hummingbirds and other birds.
To get to the High Peak, leaving Guaramiranga, you take the direction of the Pernambuquinho district passing through Botija e Forquilha. On the way up to the peak, one sees large trees that protect the hillsides, such as eucalyptus, ingazeiras, mulungus and even pine trees up there, after going through a steep rock, the incredible beauty of the place is rewarding.
