Historical and famous for its natural beauty, Iguape stands out as the city attractive, often quite sharply in tourism, especially in times of holidays, carnivals and weekends. Beautiful fountains and springs of fresh water provide moments of pleasure and freedom with beautiful baths enjoyed by local residents.
Iguape is one of the most famous of Aquiraz, the first capital of Ceará. Iguape has calm waters and warm temperatures.
The Tip of Iguape has spouts fresh water, much used by tourists for bathing, offers a beautiful landscape, formed by abundant vegetation, mangroves, coconut palms and carnauba. The coast of Aquiraz is one of the most urbanized of Ceará, with hotels and inns of all types. The city also houses the Beach Park.
Famous for its street carnival Iguape has a calm sea and is mostly visited by surfers and the sandboarding. Surrounded by sand dunes, lagoons and mangroves, the place has a village of fishermen and harbor.

Praia do Presidio, a few miles from Iguape, is also a postcard that should be known by tourists visiting the region. The area is very popular for vacation homes and is located right next to the Enchanted Lagoon paradise.
Praia do Presidio has this name due to the concentration of Dutch prisoners in 1654, when he resumed the captaincy of Ceará by the Portugueses.
