The Costão do Santinho area is of great historical value in Santa Catarina Island, with its inscriptions similar to the Campeche Island. In the region there are several possible routes, as the crossing to the beach from Moçambique Beach, but the most interesting is the rise of the Spider Hill, 255 meters high. There is a rock inscription at Costão do Santinho and a sculpture that marks the trailhead. The trail begins at the right costal of the beach, right in front of a sculpture that represents our ancestors. You need to be in good shape to face the rise, amid the lush Atlantic Forest. From the top of the hill, there is a fascinating panoramic view. The visitor feels as if it were the  'corner' of the island, as it is possible to spot both Praia Brava to the north and the Centrinho da Lagoa, a very busy main hot spot by the Conceição Lagoon,  in the South.

Time: 40 min. Starting from Costão do Santinho and going up the trail that is opposite the metal sculpture which represents a family of ancient inhabitants.
