Pantano do Sul Beach
Considered one of the richest colonies of fishermen of the island, the beach of Pântano do Sul has an area of 2,35 km long, with relatively busy open sea.
Located 31 km from the center of Florianópolis, the majority of its patrons are locals and tourists seeking a more peaceful place to live. Costa Norte is one of those places. Besides having around 200 houses and a crystal clear sea, there are always lifeguards around. A lure for couples with children.
With a good selection of restaurants, Pântano do Sul specializes in seafood. As soon as the dawn gives the air of grace, the boats starts to leave, bringing back everything fresh, ready to be savored. That's why the restaurants are always full of people.
In Pântano do Sul is also found the more distant archaeological record. The local sambaqui is formed by ancient deposits of shells, kitchen scraps and skeleton huddled by savage tribes on our coast, and was endowed by approximately 4,500 years.
