Bosque Gutierrez
The park opened in 1989, and is at one highest points in the city, in the neighbourhood of Vista Alegre. With a total area of 36,000 square meters, this land was preserved by João Carlos Gutierrez, and named after him.
There are a couple of attractions which draw tourists to the park, the main one is a natural spring that delivers upto 1,350 liters of water per hour. The park also has two small lakes an ecological trail for visitors to enjoy the fauna and wild flowers. At the natural spring is a memorial to Chico Mendes which opened on March 22, 1989.
The Bosque is located at the Albino Raschendorfer and Carrillo Gaspar Jr streets, Vista Alegre /Merces neighborhood. The visiting hours are daily from 8am to 7pm.

| Bosque Alemão (park) - This park has many attractions withi,n and also nearby. The John and Mary path tells the Grimm Brothers tale, there is also a children's library, and the Philosophers Tower which is a wooden observatory allowing a panoramic view of the city and the ocean.

| Mercês Tower (sightseeing) - The Mercês Tower is the highest point in Curitiba, allowing a 360 degree vision of the city, and allows visitors to view the city from a height of 95 meters. It is managed by Telepar and Curitiba City Hall, which also promote video sessions and guided tourist programs. Also located here is the Telephone Museum which makes for two nearby tourist destinations in one!
