Vivo da Memória Candanga Museum2
The intersection of the north-south, east-west, expressed in the original risk of Brasilia, not only marked a new stage of exploration of the territory as it did this city politically tied the knot in Brazil, by integrating its many cultural manifestations.
Hither flocked northeastern, northern, miners, Rio, after all, Brazilians who brought with them, but hope for a promising future, the cultural background of their experience of fruit origin.
The installation of these temporary migrants determined the beginning of a phenomenon of national reconciliation, making the camps themselves pioneers the primary focus of building a multicultural future. The largest and most important of these settlements, the beginnings of new capital, was the Free City - or Nucleo Bandeirante. And, in the vicinity of this nucleus, settled the Juscelino Kubitschek de Oliveira Hospital (HJKO) which subsequently became the Living Museum of Memory Candanga (MVMC), with its wooden houses in Alameda colorful cutout of the inner city, and a wood of trees which nestles the visitor protecting it from sun, and the concrete wasteland of the city.
The museum consists of the historic buildings, parts, objects and pictures, since the construction of the new capital, distributed by the permanent exhibition, "Dirt, and Concrete Canvas," which chronicles the history of Brasilia since the beginning of its construction until his inauguration in 1960. There are pictures of Mario Moreira Fontenelle (the first official photographer GMT), Peter Schei and Joaquim Paiva; ambientations the Brasilia Palace Hotel and HJKO. Also part of the collection, handicrafts and folk art, members of the "House of People's Teacher" and the exhibition "Tradition and Renewal - New Paths."
The Museum also has, with the "Know-How Workshops" which, with the task of recording, broadcast and re-create knowledge and ways of lives of many who have met to build the city offers workshops on crafts and folk art community in general. Every semester, the Museum holds free workshops in the Workshops of Know-How, as a way to smarten up their actions.
