Experimental Waldemar Henrique Theater

The theater has neoclassical features, has sixty (60) wood and leather armchairs and eight (8) stands with 20 seats each, with total capacity of 220 (two hundred and twenty) people.

It has room for multiple use of spectacles, fixed floor board race in measuring 12.30 meters wide and 23.00 m long, with three (3) dressing; urdimento iron with a manually operated system to about 5.50m tall with 14 (fourteen) iron rods, 6 (six) power.

The theater is air conditioned throughout, with a stage at ground level - a variant of the theater - for the development of the work of amateur performing arts groups that in Para, is quite impressive, both in theater and in music and dance.

Teatro Waldemar Henrique won its own office in 1979. Before, the building housed the old cinema Radium, the Museum and the headquarters of Commercial Federal.

Protected by the historical, the space was renovated to house mainly theater and dance on an experimental basis where you can combine different types of stage and audience. It also has the structure of sound and lighting completely mobile, allowing ample opportunity and adapting itself perfectly to installation of any show.

After an extensive renovation, was reopened in 1998 and who records the history is the amateur theater movement, which has always been one of the most important cultural expressions of the State of Pará.
