Parque Nacional Montanhas do Tumucumaque

The Tumucumaque Mountains National Park is located in the Amazon rainforest, in the towns of Pedra Branca, Serra do Navio, Jari Orangery, Oiapoque Calçoene and in the states of Amapá and Pará, Brazil. It has an area of 3,882,120.00 hectares (38,821.20 km ²). The perimeter of the park is 1,724,575.857 meters. It is administered by the Chico Mendes Institute for Biodiversity Conservation (ICMBio).

In north-central portion of the park is the forest and high-profile coverage with nuclei scattered emergent trees. The species that stand out are maçaranduba, Maparajuba, cupiúba, jarana, mandioqueira, blondes, acapu, acariquara, Matamata, field bean, abioranas, tauari and tachi.

Tumucumaque has an exuberant fauna, ranging from large carnivores, like the jaguar and puma, even hummingbirds colored, like the hummingbird-brightness-of-fire. Important species such as john-tailed flycatchers and can also be found in the park. Among primates can find the jack-of-smell, the monkey, the cuxiú / bearded saki, the Parauacu, the howler and spider monkeys.
