Dance Theater
Created to provide a dedicated space for dance in the city, the Dance Theatre is the result of a partnership between the Ministry of Culture, the São Paulo Association of Friends of Art (CAS) and the Circolo Italiano.
Inspired by the former Shed Theatre, which in the 70's was the meeting point of the pole dancers in the city and the dissemination of experimental dance, the TD also opens a space for professional companies. The goal is to build audiences for dance through the diversity of groups that appear in his stage, including street dance groups.
The TD is located in the old Theatre Italy, which was renovated to conform to the onstage and backstage shows that home.
