Contemporaneo das Invencoes Museum
Some of the curious inventions that comprise the collection of the Museum of Contemporary Inventions, are a cardboard chair, a card shower, Kangaroo bicycle, foldable dog house, popcorn machine, goggles for eye drops and comfortable shoes. A different museum where visitors can check out the creativity of human beings.
Unique in Latin America, the museum combines fun and culture, housing nearly 400 products, with many different characteristics and purposes, created by Brazilian and foreign inventors. The main objective is to awaken the visitor audience - comprised mostly of students, entrepreneurs and curious people - the interest in technology development and technology transfer, as the most exposed inventions available for sale, licensing or society.
Founded in 1996 by businessman and lawyer Carlos Mazzei, the museum has two sections: the New and Innovative Inventions, presented as prototypes, some functional, so the public can know, and the Bizarre and Curious Inventions, presented in prototyping, demonstrating the curious art of useless inventions. Some of the prototypes of New and Innovative Inventions, may soon, be produced industrially. Among them, the removable exchange for cars, antenna to call a waiter, a card shower as teaching, CD polish, Pratik Tennis (where it is possible to simulate a tennis game alone), among other curious inventions.
With two-story structure and individuals responsible for the entire explanation of the project, the Museum of Inventions is visited by school excursions, walking people, curious and the media in general, which uses the array of lights suitable for recording material.
