Arraial do Cabo is situated in a region blessed by nature with its 35 km of beaches, ideal for bathing and for water sports in general. It received the title of "Atlantic Paradise"and is known as the Capital of Diving. The researcher and French diver Jacques Cousteau, during his visit to Arraila do Cabo, marveled at the beaches' crystal blue waters.

Its beaches, islands and slabs are excellent for fishing, having a variety of fish. Most of Arraial do Cabo population lives from selling fish. The wealth of marine fauna and flora of the region is explained by the phenomenon of "Resurgence", which consists of the outcrop of deep cold water currents from the South Pole, rich in nutrients that make up the food chain of microscopic animals, which in turn feed other larger animals. Arraial do Cabo has a structure of a large tourist center, without losing the characteristics of a fishermen village which, in combination with  its nature, makes a spectacular city with a tourism potential and a privileged geography.

Location: Located 160 km from the city of Rio de Janeiro, limited to the north and Cabo Frio Araruama Lake, and south and east by the Atlantic Ocean and west of the city Araruama.
