On November 9, 1942 a monument was inaugurated by Bandeirante created by artist Armando Zago, given the request of the Academic Center August XI of the Law School of Sao Paulo, to be donated to the people of Goias.
The bronze sculpture has three and a half feet tall and is located in the plaza Attilio Correia Lima - Old Square of the Bandeirante, the intersection of the avenues and Anhanguera Goiás, Central sector.
He seeks to portray the explorer Bartolomeu Bueno da Silva at the whole body, and holding a panning and armed with a blunderbuss. Was dubbed by the Indian as Anhanguera for having set fire to alcohol, making them believe they would put fire in the rivers where to stop him from taking the earth's riches.
