Description: Cachoeira do Bom Jesus Beach
The district of Cachoeira do Bom Jesus is 30 km from downtown Florianópolis. Its name derives from the waterfall (Cachoeira) located on Bom Jesus Hill. The beach is named after the district it is located in. It lies beside the Canasvieiras beach, with the same beautiful natural characteristics such as fine white sand, calm, clean and warm waters but it's quieter than its neighbor. Connected to Canasvieiras and Ponta das Canas beaches, it offers an excellent choice of 10 km pleasant walk on fine and hard sand by the sea.
The excellent beach counts, in high season, on hundreds of thousands of visitors. With good infrastructure, the beach area has an excellent complex of tourist services.
The "Cachoeira" beach, as it is called by locals, begins at Ponta das Canas beach and goes in a southwesterly direction until it reaches the Braz river mouth, which also marks the division between the district of Cachoeira do Bom Jesus and Canasvieiras.
Location: at the entrance of the Baía Norte of Santa Catarina Island.
Driving directions: Take the SC-401 to the Canasvieiras Clover, where, at the roundabout, turn right and follow the directions to Ponta das Canas Beach and Brava.
By bus: Company Canasvieiras. Cachoeira Line. Check out Urban Transport.
