The Municipal Theatre Dix-Huit Rosado Maia is a theater in the city of Natal, located on Avenida Rio Branco and part of the "Hall of Culture in Mossley". It was built in 2003 by the city with an investment of R$6 million, together with a partnership with PETROBRAS. Theatre Dix-Huit Rosado, has brought great entertainment to the city and has the very latest in theater architecture and structure. In what is named the corridor of culture, this theater occupies a position between the Station and the Arts Elizabeth Gale Resistance Memorial, on Avenida Rio Branco. The theater hosts a range of events, including dramatic theater, theater plays, musical recitals, folk dance, classical and contemporary ballet, and even conferences and meetings.
The Theatre is frequented by the locals at night who often talk about city affairs and mostly frequented by youngsters. The city envisioned making the Municipal Theater Dix-huit Rosado a place for locals to have a place to go, enjoy and discuss daily affairs.
