The Christmas spirit invades the streets of Florianópolis. Christmas pictures are of all types that grace the city's main thoroughfares. Figures light poles are installed on the main routes from all parts of the capital of Santa Catarina. The decorations are the Avenida Beira-Mar Norte, Rua Felipe Schmidt porches, around the Praça XV de Novembro, Vidal Ramos Street, Praça do Laguinho (Pond Square) , near the entrance of the city, Parque de Coqueiros,, Lagoa da Conceição, Morro das Pedras, Ingleses and Canasvieiras.
The Christmas Lights, as it is called, is one of the largest in history, according to the Department of Tourism. The city of Florianópolis prepares the Christmas Lights, with choirs, events, theaters and lots of fun. Christmas lighting has over 5 million micro lamps at Largo da Catedral. In XV de Novembro Suqare is installed a Natural Crib.
