Rose Lake (Central and Western Sectors, Central Region)
End - Between the Mall and the Avenue of Roses Anhanguera
It is the oldest park in Goiania. At the moment, is being revitalized by the Environment Agency Municipal de Goiânia (Amma), in partnership with the Institute of Historical and Artistic Heritage (Iphan). Built in the 40s, originally housed a large bed of roses (hence the name) and its representative elements of Art Deco style, which prevailed at the time, and as a stepping stone walls. It also houses the Zoological Goiania. Serves as a leisure and contemplation for thousands of visitors. It has lake, jogging track, internal paths, gazebo, playground and gym station. The area inside the park is open from 8 to 18 hours (admission is not charged). Ask the visitor to not feed the animals (because they receive special food) or littering on the premises of the conservation unit. It has an area of 315,000 m2.Photo by: leo!
