Maroaga Cave

Grotto Maroaga, Presidente Figueiredo is a point of daily visitation of tourists who come to the Amazon. Located on the highway that leads to Vila de Balbina, you still have a good time walking along a path in the woods until you reach the mouth of the cave.

The cave entrance is over 30 meters high and a trickle of clear water filtered flows from the sediment and the roots of vegetation.
Some people say they have crossed Maroaga from side to side, but the numerous narrow passages make one doubt in the air.
The place is also preferred by lovers who rappel down ropes hung from the highest point to touch the ground. Maroaga is home to animals such as bats, reptiles and many insects quite different. It is also possible that some still seek ounces place as a refuge.

The place is very healthy and appropriate for a good walk. It is worth knowing.

Iracema
In the same area where the waterfall is located on Iracema, the left edge of the BR-174, KM-115. To reach the cave you must walk four miles to an extension within the Fazenda Iracema.

Getting There:
Manaus, capital of Amazonas, to nearly 100 km are Figueiredo BR 174 that connects the two cities is in good condition and Figueiredo is possible to stay in comfort without pay. The daily account of leaving more for R$ 30.00.
