Prawer
Prawer Chocolates is the only factory in Gramado that provides the visitor with a shopping stop visit for leisure and culture through the world of chocolate. Museum, exhibition of old equipment and panels about the history of Prawer, begun in 1975 by its founder Jayme Prawer. The visitor also finds information on the history and origin of the cocoa and chocolate trivia. In the production area, the tourists feel the aroma of chocolate and watch the work of artisans who produce the product and, finally, the expected tasting.
The founder of Prawer was only 10 years old when he fell in love with Gramado. The city did not leave his imagination, to the point he designed a life for himself in this magical place that had captivated him. As an adult, in 1974, the dream took shape on a visit to Bariloche. The similarity with Gramado, even the climate, aawoke him to the potential of creating the first homemade chocolate factory in Brazil in the molds of what he saw in Bariloche. Prawer had its first line, with bars and crude homemade style of Bariloche. Today the plant occupies an area of 2.500m ² and produces a diversified line, serving all of Brazil with its own stores and licensees, and countless other points of sales.
Its fine product has a handmade touch and selected ingredients. Bars, pills, diet, chocolate, chocolate fondue, chocolate powder - more than 150 flavors and shapes. Currently, Prawer exports to several countries, and also has stores in Gramado, Porto Alegre, Sao Paulo, Campinas, Florianopolis and Brasilia.
The secret of its quality is in the smallest amount of sugar and the high percentage of cocoa, which guarantees purity, texture, flavor enhancement and shiny appearance
