Goiânia Gold Municipal Cultural Center

The transformation of space, today houses the Centro Municipal de Cultura Goiânia Ouro began to be thought by the family that owns the Golden Gallery and the Cine Golden. Contact was made with the Municipal Secretary of Culture Kleber Adorno, to enable the initial idea was to transform the space into two movie theaters. That, in early 2005. Kleber made ​​a site visit and consider taking the proposal. The secretary took the project to the Mayor Iris Rezende, who immediately approved the partnership. Was born there the Goiânia Ouro.

"With the mayor's yes, we have developed the project and running it," Adorno says Kleber. "The idea from early conversations with the mayor, was to democratize access to cultural property, by the people and promote local talent in all its manifestations."

According to Mayor Iris Rezende, the high demand for staff of Goiania Gold proves that space is complying with its initial proposal. For Kleber, the Goiania Gold is "the largest playhouse in Goiás in terms of occupation and what contributed most to the local art."

Centro Municipal de Cultura Goiânia Ouro was inaugurated on June 21, 2006, with the show Café Cantante, Shiny Dagger, Martim Cerere theater group, directed by Mark Fayad.

In planning for the theater, Mondays are scheduled for the musical production of Goiânia, with Project Open Monday. Thursdays are with the performing arts, with Season Gold Project, production of the Secretariat of Culture of Goiânia.

On other days the Theatre is open to local and national productions. The Goiania Gold presents every day, plays, music concerts, dance performances, festivals, lectures and workshops.
