The former 26th Street, now Mrs. Gersina Borges, which houses a part of the history of the people of Goias. There lived the founder of the capital, Pedro Ludovico Teixeira who initiated its construction in 1934, having completed the work in 1937. The Art Deco architecture, in vogue at the time, to mark the building now preserved as the owner left.
Protected by the State Historic site was transformed into a museum in 1987. Residence is distributed throughout the collection, consisting of 1836 pieces. They're porcelain, furniture, clothing, crystals and personal objects. Two thousand eight hundred books and original documents dating from the twenties to the seventies, comprising the private library of Peter Ludwig. The iconographic collection contains one thousand, one hundred forty and two photos, forming an important historical record.
There is another library, Antonio Teixeira Borges with its two hundred seventy-eight books tell the story of Goiânia and state. The Museum has recently undergone extensive renovation but keeping up your entire collection. The space allows for historians, students, intellectuals, researchers, journalists and onlookers make an incursion in the 30, 40, 50 and 60.
