Festival de Jazz and Blues

Guaramiranga is a small city located in Sierra Baturité, in Ceará, which is 110 kilometers from Fortaleza. Guaramiranga and the neighboring towns of the Baturité Massif receive approximately 13 thousand tourists during carnival. Only the Jazz & Blues City has about 10 thousand people in the sum of the four-day festival.

During the excitement of carnival around the country in February of each year, the Jazz & Blues Festival offers a cultural alternative. The Jazz & Blues Festival transforms the city, bringing major national and international names at different places. Artistic attractions and programming all day until 3 am, with workshops of music, film club, chat with the artists, open rehearsals and performances are part of the show. All this washed down with very hot chocolate, wine, good food and a beautiful nature.

Four days of Jazz & Blues Festival at the carnival in Guaramiranga and four others  in Fortaleza, as after the carnival, the festival goes down the mountain bringing concerts and workshops to Sobral and Fortaleza. which have been marked by memorable concerts and interaction between artists and audience that make the festival memorable. The Jazz & Blues City, is a 1.500m2 arena, of which 850 is a covered area, built to host the concerts and welcome the audience with accessibility and comfort. 

The Jazz & Blues Festival 2011 generated 400 direct jobs, and moved the region's economy, which had crowded hotels and restaurants in the four-day event, which welcomes visitors all year round in search of killing the missing.
