Special Spring and Children Fair
The Spring & Children Special Fair is held in the Osório and Santos Andrade squares, downtown, starts by middle of September until October 12 which is the Children´s Day as well as Brazil´s Patron Saint Day, Our Lady of Aparecida (Nossa Senhora Aparecida), a national holiday.
During the period, the squares are prepared with many stalls with crafts depicting the spring and the children's day. The consumers have a wide variety of choices in decorative items, tents of crafts in general such as flower arrangements, rag dolls, embroidery as well as gastronomy tents and social programs representatives, and educational games. The spaces for food, serve traditional dishes of the ethnic groups which form the capital city and the state of Paraná.
The fair is a tradition in the city and the population waits anxiously. The main objective of the fair is to promote Curitiba habits and create another opportunity for artisans to market their products.
The exhibitions gather approximately 300 exhibitors distributed in a significant number ofas well.
